Comprehensive WER Preparation Programme

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to robotics, covering core components such as sensors, motors, and processing units, as well as fundamental simple machine theory. Students will explore annual contest themes, rules, and specific challenges.

Throughout the course, participants will design, build, test, and program custom robotic solutions tailored to solve each specific competition task.

An entry-level artificial intelligence course designed for upper primary students using block-based machine learning platforms. Students explore how computers “see”, “feel” and “hear” by training simple models to recognize image patterns, hand gestures, and voice commands.

Through fun interactive projects, students apply their custom AI models to build smart mini-games, automated sorting systems, and voice-assisted virtual pets, etc.

Practical VIBE Coding for Secondary Students

VIBE Coding (Visual, Intuitive, & Building-focused Environment) introduces senior secondary students to modern AI-driven software development workflows. Rather than focusing solely on syntax, students learn to act as software architects—leveraging Large Language Models, prompt engineering, and intelligent IDE assistants (like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT) to rapidly turn ideas into working applications.

Students will master natural language programming, automated code debugging, API integration, UI prototyping, and code review fundamentals. By the end of the 10 sessions, students will independently build and deploy fully functional web applications and interactive software projects.

Focused on rapid execution, teachers will learn the fundamentals, practice natural language prompt-based coding, and successfully deploy a live functional application—all within a single 4-hour session.

Beyond physical execution, the program emphasizes team synchronization, personal discipline, national identity, and leadership, culminating in a ceremonial group display.

This course trains primary and secondary students to establish a formal Flag-Raising Team (Guard of Honour) following official Chinese national flag-raising protocols. The curriculum covers flag folding, flag escorting, hoisting timing synchronized with the National Anthem, and Chinese-style marching steps.

Led by certified flag-raising instructors with over 10 years of professional drill and ceremonial team experience, the program instills national pride, precision execution, and civic responsibility for campus assemblies.

Intensive WER Preparation Workshop

4 sessions × 1.5 hour per session

This intensive workshop is tailored for students who already possess foundational knowledge in Abilix educational robotics and prior WER competition experience. Across four focused sessions, participants undergo targeted training to refine their technical strategies and maximize contest performance.

Session 1: Annual Task Analysis & Mechanism Optimization: In-depth breakdown of the current year’s competition theme, game rules, and point-scoring strategies, accompanied by structural enhancements to mechanical builds.

Session 2: Grayscale Sensor Calibration & Autonomous Navigation: Precision calibration of grayscale sensors for field tracking, light sensitivity adjustment, and robust route planning under dynamic contest environments.

Session 3: Onsite Challenge Strategies & Real-Time Problem Solving: Interactive simulation of unexpected, secret task announcements requiring students to rapidly adapt code and mechanical setups under strict time limits.

Session 4: Full Competition Mock Run & Performance Review: Time-capped competition trials reproducing official tournament pressures, followed by video analysis, troubleshooting feedback, and final tactical refinements.

Teens Financial Literacy & AI Challenge

1 session × 3 hours

Teens Financial Literacy & AI Challenge is an interactive workshop designed to equip S4–S6 students with essential money-management and responsible AI skills as they prepare for university, employment, and greater financial independence. Through engaging team challenges and realistic scenarios, students will explore budgeting, saving, needs versus wants, financial risk, basic investment concepts, and the warning signs of financial scams.

They will also learn how to use AI as a practical thinking tool to compare financial choices, check calculations, investigate suspicious claims, and evaluate potential consequences. Importantly, students will learn that AI-generated information may be inaccurate, biased, or outdated, and must always be verified using human judgment and reliable sources.

By combining financial literacy with responsible AI use, the workshop strengthens critical thinking, decision-making, scam awareness, communication, and teamwork.

Students will leave with greater confidence to make informed, responsible financial decisions in everyday life and future endeavors.
